Efficient Cross-Chain Transaction Processing on Blockchains

چکیده
Blockchain has received great attention in academia and industry due to its decentralization immutability. From the perspective of transaction processing, blockchain is a distributed shared ledger database with characteristics decentralization, traceability, transparency. These features ensure security blockchain’s reliability. However, because network requires complex consensus verification between users, it causes problems such as high cost data exchange low system throughput. Such are aggravated when executing cross-chain transaction, particularly important atomicity isolation transactions across blockchain. Considering this, this paper, we propose processing flow EOVPC efficient based on version control. Different from existing approaches locking, optimistic which updated can be used immediately, rolling back procedure that guarantees atomicity. We conducted extensive experiments, show our improve throughput success rate significantly.

Not Acid, Not Base, but Salt - A Transaction Processing Perspective on Blockchains
Traditional ACID transactions, typically supported by relational database management systems, emphasize database consistency. BASE provides a model that trades some consistency for availability, and is typically favored by cloud systems and NoSQL data stores. With the increasing popularity of blockchain technology, another alternative to both ACID and BASE is introduced: SALT. In this keynote p...
متن کاملREM: Resource-Efficient Mining for Blockchains
Blockchains show promise as potential infrastructure for financial transaction systems. The security of blockchains today, however, relies critically on Proof-ofWork (PoW), which forces participants to waste computational resources. We present REM (Resource-Efficient Mining), a new blockchain mining framework that uses trusted hardware (Intel SGX). REM achieves security guarantees similar to Po...
متن کاملEfficient Cross-Device Query Processing
The increasing diversity of hardware within a single system promises large performance gains but also poses a challenge for data management systems. Strategies for the efficient use of hardware with large performance differences are still lacking. For example, existing research on GPU supported data management largely handles the GPU in isolation from the system’s CPU — The GPU is considered th...
متن کاملEfficient and consistent transaction processing in wireless data broadcast environments
Hybrid, i.e., push and pull-based, data delivery is likely to become a method of choice for the distribution of information to a large user population in many new mobile and stationary applications. One of the major issues in hybrid data delivery networks is to provide clients with a consistent and current view on the data delivered by the server through a broadband broadcast channel and a set ...
متن کاملCrossStitch: An Efficient Transaction Processing Framework for Geo-Distributed Systems
Current transaction systems for geo-distributed datastores either have high transaction processing latencies or are unable to support general transactions with dependent operations. In this paper, we introduce CrossStitch, an efficient transaction processing framework that reduces latency by restructuring each transaction into a chain of state transitions, where each state consists of a key ope...
